Sephora Play! August Subscription!

Hi friends! I finally got around to taking pictures of my subscription haul for August! I’m pretty sure you might have seen that Makeup Geek was pretty upset over the bag this month but I have no idea if Sephora comment back to it or not. Overall, I was pretty impressed with my samples this month and I can’t wait to share them with all of you! *enter the best gif ever*

Here is the bag and the fold-out featuring this month’s products and a fun periodic table of good ingredients in makeup and skincare. Note the bag saying “Makeup Geek” 🐸🍵

The front side of the fold-out has the Elements of Beauty. This features powerhouse ingredients that will help your beauty routine. There are different minerals, proteins, oils and butters, plant extracts, vitamins, and acids. It is a pretty comprehensive list and if you would like me to, send me a message and I’ll go into detail with it.

The back of the pamphlet features all the items included this month, a small description, and how to use each item.

For the items, I took pictures of the front and back, how-to booklets, and included boxes. Enjoy!

Here is a quick look at all the items for this month. A baby blender, coconut oil, mascara remover, concealer, perfume samples, and not pictured is a can of dry shampoo.

The first item is a coconut mini melt by Kopari. This product is 2 fluid ounces and 100% premium oil. You can use this all over your body and it contains fatty acids to seal in moisture.

This side of the box details it’s uses. They suggest under-eye, for hair conditioner, and to smooth out skin.

This side of the box has the social media platforms this company uses, the website and directions on how to use it.

This product is vegan, cruelty-free, and recyclable! Yay!

The only ingredient in this product is coconut oil and it is organic. The bottom of the box also states that in warm weather the product will liquify and the change in consistency does not affect the quality. This has a 12-month shelf-life and was made in the Philippines.

The unfortunate issue with coconut oil being delivered by the mailman on 90 degree days is that it liquefied and the product broke through the seal getting it all over the directions and box. This side of the instructions details the background of this product and how to use this oil to its full potential. For a hair mask, make sure your hair is dry and coat with the oil. Keep in for 40 minutes or overnight and wash out in the morning. Body Moisturizer, just rub on the skin! Makeup remover? Sure! Just melt some on a cotton ball and wipe away! If you need dry shave oil, just rub on the legs and shave away! They say you can add it to a bath but I picture a slippery surface and blood :/ if you have under-eye issues, just dab a bit and it will brighten. It says you can put some on your baby! Rub some on your stretch marks! Yass! BOOM!

This side has their social media handles @koparibeauty or #beautyinanutshell. This side states that the oil will go back to a solid state when put in the fridge for 20-30 minutes.

This is the top of the actual product. It comes in a nice sized jar for a sample. Coconut oil’s molecular structure allows it to penetrate skin and hair deeper than other oils.

To use this product, scoop some out of the jar and rub it on your hands to melt it. After that, apply for its suggested use. A little of this product goes a long way.

The bottom of the jar just reiterates the product turning to liquid when it reaches 76 degrees.

Yay! A Beauty Blender! But a baby!

This Beauty Blender is useful for contour, concealer, and highlighter. The shape helps reach the smaller parts of the face.

This is a quick set of instructions on how to use a Beauty Blender. First you wet it, next you squeeze out the excess water, and then you apply your makeup by bouncing the sponge. Wiping it across the area will make your makeup streaky.

Look how cute this baby is! I have two but I’ll never complain about more Beauty Blenders!

This is a sample of Too Faced’s Mascara Melt Off Cleansing Oil. This cleaner gets rid of waterproof and regular mascara with ease. Or so it says. Apparently, this product has green tea extract which helps condition the lashes and add antioxidants.

This product has a 12-month shelf life and is 0.01 fluid ounces. It has the company website and distribution information printed on it.

To apply this product, use the wand to coat the lashes and let it sit for about 60 seconds. After that, just wipe away with a damp cloth. For me, this product streaked the mascara all over the place. I didn’t like it but that’s okay.

I was excited to try this but I never find a concealer that I’m happy with. This is Kat Von D’s Lock-It Concealer Crème #19. This product is a 24-hour nourishing concealer that brightens, color corrects, and fixes your complexion. This is super pigmented and does not crease.

To apply this concealer, swipe it on the area to cover up or all-over for coverage. You can blend this out with your fingers or a sponge.

Here is the applicator for this concealer. I like how it is shaped to cover smaller areas and large areas. I’m not a fan of the smell of this product though.

Here’s a swatch of the shade that I was sent. This is M19 Cool. It covers but it is not really my skin tone.

The last product is Living Proof’s Perfect Hair Dry Shampoo. I adore Living Proof products. I use their leave-in conditioner and wow. Yes. 🙂 anyway, this product absorbs extra oil and volumizes your hair.

The back of the bottle says to shake well and spray 6-10 inches away from your head. You can apply to your roots by lifting your hair in sections. Wait for 30 seconds and then brush through to remove excess product.

I was so excited to test the perfume of the month! These are samples of Kat Von D’s Saint and Sinner.

I’m always scared to purchase perfumes before I test them so I’m very thankful. I love the bottle design.

This side has the ingredients of each sample, notes that they are recyclable, the batch code, and these are vegan fragrances! Very cool. My favorite vegan brand of perfume is Ghoulish Bath Shop. They’re scented after spooky themes!

The packaging is flawless like all her products. For Saint, the top note is mandarin, the middle note is Jasmine and Tiare Flower, and the base note is musk. Sinner has orange blossom for the top note, cinnamon as the middle note, and patchouli and vanilla as the base notes.

There you all go! What products are you interested in? What did you receive? Xo
