Pretty Vulgar On Point Liquid Eyeliner Review!

Hi friends! Today I’m going to review the Pretty Vulgar On Point liquid eyeliner. I got this eyeliner that usually retails for around $22 for $6. This was part of their 20K giveaway. The site was glitchy and was a terrible experience. The eyeliner came yesterday and this is the second time I’m using it and it seems like the pen is already dried out. I’m not too happy but I can’t always review things that I like and things don’t go as planned.

I’m going to show you the box, the pen, and my waterproof test.

Here is the front of the package. The packaging is cute. It is 0.034 fluid ounces.

The back of the box states this is not to be applied on your waterline or your contact lenses. Wtf? It has the ingredient list and that this is shade #26, or Top Secret. This has the distribution information and that it is cruelty-free.

This is the top of the box. It describes the formula as a quick drying, smudge proof, and color rich formula. The website is located at the bottom of the paragraph.

This is the eyeliner pen. It has a pretty ink pen quality to it and the gold top comes off. This pen is all hard plastic and feels durable.

This is the pen applicator. It is very flexible and has a nice felt quality. Be careful with how much this flexes because it can be problematic if you are just starting out with liquid eyeliner.

This is how the pen handles on my hand. It does have a nice color but as you can see, it isn’t a consistent pigment with the lines. There were also some hiccups and drag.

The next thing up with this was the question of this being waterproof. It never stated it was but as a personal criteria, I need things to be waterproof! Below, is my waterproof test.

I took the eyeliner swatch from before and ran it under my sink. It didn’t fall apart under the water which was a good sign.

After I took my hand out of the water and rubbed it with my finger…

This was the end result. As you can see, this just isn’t waterproof. It made me so sad.

Okay readers, this eyeliner does the job. However, I feel this product could be so much better. It could have less drag, consistency in the pigment could be better. If this was waterproof, that would have made me a happier customer. Xo

Tony Moly Therapy Pack Clay Masks!

Hi friends. Serious question. Do you like to paint? Do you like clay masks for your face? Tony Moly has come out with the raddest therapy clay masks ever. I purchased mine from their site for $6.50 each. I have every color and will walk you through how to apply, what each clay is used for on your face and how you can mix and match them for custom skincare! These masks have Lava and Kaolin Clay and Bentonite in them and are 100% natural!

Here they are! I love how they look like paint tubes! They have an adorable design that shows what shade is in each tube.
Here are the backs of the tubes. All the writing is in Korean which is why I’m going to do a lot of talking in this post.
Here is all my lines of clay mask! See how they look like paint? I apologize for the yellow. Apparently one shade had to be a non-conformist. I labeled what each color helps with.

In going to show you how to apply this properly to your face.

This is my face before I started applying the clay. Make sure you wash it before you start.
For the first mask, I applied the black on my nose and forehead. Not to be too gross but my nose and forehead get really oily. This clay has Damyang bamboo charcoal in it to help control sebum and oil, and get rid of dead skin so your skin is cleaned from the inside out. What is Sebum? Sebum is a waxy secretion that the sebaceous glands make to help waterproof skin and hair. 🤢
This second step is for brightening your skin. There are rice and pearl extracts that help brighten dull skin. The under eye is always a dull area so obvious help was needed!
The third mask applied was the pink one. This one has calamine extract to help hydrate and soothe irritated and inflamed skin. I have a little sore pimple that appeared yesterday and my chin is always a problem dry area for me.
For the fourth mask, it acts like a gel and it has Marine Moist 3-Complex in it to help soothe and hydrate. I waxed my upper lip yesterday so added this to the area to help burn and soreness. Basically Marine complex are seaweed extracts.
The last mask was the yellow one. This mask is a cream clay that has Sweet Almond oil and Almond Seed powder in it to deeply moisturize dry and dehydrated skin. I’m not that dry unless on my chin but applied into my outer eye area and strip of my cheeks that I sometimes have problems with.
When all are applied, it says to leave on for 10 to 15 minutes. I left mine on for 15.
After the 15 minutes were up, you just wash away with lukewarm water. This is my skin afterward. It doesn’t look dull and it thankfully took a lot of the oil away!

There you have It! I’m going to list some color mixing help now just in case you have combination skin and want to use them!

Black + Pink = Gray clay for oily yet easily irritated skin.

Yellow + Pink = Orange clay for irritated dry skin

White + Yellow = Lemon clay for dull and dry skin

Yellow + Blue = Green clay for serious dry skin that need hydration! Possibly in the winter!

I hope you enjoyed this post and information! Xo

Battle of the Black Lipsticks!

In my opinion, not all black lipsticks are universal. They vary in shade, consistency, drying and how much they actually cover. I swatched the four black lipsticks that I own so you can see the differences and hear some pros and cons of each! Enjoy!

To be honest, I only have four different black lipsticks. I don’t really see a point in having a thousand of them. There’s Black Moon Cosmetics, Makeup Monsters, Melt Cosmetics and Sugarpill.
Here are the bottoms of the lipsticks. We have some described as extra matte and matte.

I did lip swatches and an arm swatch of all these for you so you can see how different they are.

Here are the four for you. This was taken maybe five minutes after I swatched them so they could be fully dry. You can see how some are darker and lighter than the others in comparison.

Here are some lip swatches! We’ll go in the same order as they’re arm swatched! Yay!

This one is my favorite out of the four. It is a liquid matte. It smells like vanilla and is a thicker and less runny formula. It dries very fast and isn’t patchy. It lasts super long and is comfortable to wear and doesn’t dry out my lips.
This one does need two coats to cover fully. It takes time to dry and depending how even you apply it, it can be patchy. It removes pretty well and does have a nice matte finish.
I love this one. To be honest, I think the lipsticks look better than the liquid mattes. This is with two coats but feels non-sticky, is even and doesn’t look super obnoxious. It also smells like vanilla!
This one is a bit lighter than the others. I did use two coats but has a very nice feel and wear to it. It also smells like orange cream! Yeah! This one is nice and subtle, where it looks almost natural.

There you have it! I would have to say that out of all of these, Melt’s Bane is my absolute favorite. It is matte, not sticky or drying, smells great and long lasting.

NYX Simply Vamp Lip Cream and a Simply Nude Lip Cream Swatches!

Hey everybody! I went out to Ulta today to check out things. Man, going in there during the 21 Days of Beauty is insane. I didn’t go in for anything on sale today, I was there for one purpose: NYX Simply Vamp Lip Cream. Luckily for me, all NYX products were buy one, get one 50% off! Which means one full price lip cream was $6.50 and the sale price was $3.25. Win! The only two that were out of stock were Enamored and Bewitching. I also grabbed one Nude because I wanted to take advantage of the sale. To be honest, I have a bunch of nudes shades but I like dark colors which is why I leaned more towards the Vamp collection. Here are what they look like just in case you haven’t seen them!

Here they are in all their cruelty-free glory! The packaging isn’t anything crazy and it doesn’t need to be. I love NYX products. They’re affordable and work extremely well for the prices.
Here are the swatches of these guys. I put the nude, Sable, in top. As you can see the coverage on them is awesome. The black shade at the bottom is not a Lip Cream. It is a top coat!

I know I already did arm swatches for you all but I wanted to swatch them on my lips so you can see how they actually look properly applied. I also used my favorite shade, Covet, with the black top coat so you can see it in action!

Here is what Sable looks like on. I love how this shade looks on me because a lot of nudes make me look like a corpse. It went on smooth and stayed on for a decent amount of time.
Here is the shade Aphrodisiac. It applied very smooth and evenly. There’s no scent to these shades which is nice because I hate chemical scents and sometimes the vanilla fragrance is obnoxious.
Here is my favorite shade that I own, Covet. It looks like Aphrodisiac but with a copper shine. It goes on smooth and not patchy. Yay! 🙂
And here is Covet with the Black Top Coat. It is a subtle change but really adds a nice tint to the color.
This purple shade is beautiful. I usually shy away from dark plum/purple shades because they never dry evenly or feather badly. I love how dark this purple is and how evenly it applied.
She Devil is a really nice cream that is very similar to Jeffree Star’s Unicorn Blood so I’m thankful this was made as a great and quick alternative. I was very impressed that this didn’t apply patchy like most dark colors do.
Here’s the top coat all by itself. To be honest, this works as a black lip gloss. I love it. It adds a really nice touch to plain lips. Impressed.

There’s all the swatches of my purchase today! I was super impressed with the shade selection, application and how evenly the shades looked and stayed on my lips! For the price and the amount that you receive, hook yourself up and grab some!
