Tarte and Sephora Birthday Exclusive Reward!

Hi friends! My birthday is in six days and then I kiss my 20s goodbye. When I did my last Sephora purchase I decided to cash in some points and grab my birthday gift. They had the Fresh skincare set, a Jack Black skincare set and this new Tarte blush and lipstick mini that I’ve never seen before. I was intrigued and chose this cute guy.

Look at how cute this little duo is! Both are very light shades that compliment every skin tone.

I took a bunch of photos of this cute bundle and yes the shades are exclusive to the birthday set.

The back of the box shows that this set is vegan and cruelty-free! Yay! It has an ingredient list of both the blush and the lipstick and their names!

This was a pretty shot of both products. My vanity is proving to be a nice place to take detailed photos.

Now for the swatches. I did a brush and finger swatch of the blush and a lip swatch of the lipstick. Enjoy!

Here is the arm swatch of the blush. If you notice, it is very subtle when a brush is used.

And now for the lip swatch!

Please excuse the discontent on my face. It was in the middle of a year wave and I wasn’t too happy. Haha. This shade is a darker nude that works great with my skin tone.

There you all have it! I enjoyed both products and this nude lipstick actually doesn’t look awkward like some of them do on my skin. Xo!

Kat Von D Lolita Eyeshadow and Blush!

Hi friends! For an early birthday present I bought myself Kat Von D’s super limited Lolita eyeshadow and blush. I bought it for $19 and cashed in some points and picked out the birthday gift. This eyeshadow single doubles as a blush that I’ve swatched for you and took a bunch of pictures. This is vegan and cruelty-free.

Here is the product in the box. It is a small cardboard box that has a pretty silver lettering on it.

The back of the box has a more detailed description of what the product is in different languages and ingredients listed.

The bottom of the box has the barcode and has the vegan stamp of approval! Yay! There are symbols showing that it is eye and face safe and also recyclable.

I was feeling pretty artsy with this so I added my O2 plant and my Cthulhu pop figure. The product is a beautiful dusty chestnut rose type of shade.

These are the swatches of Lolita. It blends out so well! I’m excited to use it today! I’m not too sure how much to use for blush so that will have to be played around with a bit.

There you have it, the beautiful eyeshadow single, Lolita. I’m pretty sure they are going to release it again in the future but only time will tell. Xo

Kat Von D Lolita Cheek and Eye Blush!

Coming soon next month Kat Von D is releasing her popular liquid lip shade, Lolita as a blush and eye shade! It will be available through Sephora!

Edit: it has been announced that this will be only $19, limited edition and definitely a June release through Sephora!

Double Edit: June 6th to be exact!

LunatiCK Cosmetic Labs Contour Palette Swatches!

Hey everybody! Today I decided to swatch and review my favorite Contour book ever. The LunatiCK Cosmetic Labs Contour Palette! This is a beautiful palette with an awesome mix of highlight, blushes, bronzer and gray toned contour shades. The palette is  $74 originally which sounds like a lot but you get 12 pans. When you apply math to it, that means that each pan is about  $6 each which is a steal. The really nice thing about is if you run out of your favorite shades, you can purchase them individually off of their website and they magnetize right into the palette. Let’s check out the packaging!

I love the packaging of this palette! It has this great Necronomicon feel to it! The eye is such a great and creepy touch!
The back of the palette shows the ingredients and all the names of the shades. It would take a while to name all of them but I did in my swatches and numbered the shades on the swatches and the inside preview.
As you can definitely see, there’s something in here for everybody especially pale skin. My favorite shades are Medium Cool #7, Pink #11 and a mix of Light Brown #6 and a bit of Brown #9. I did label these by number to match up to the swatches below.

Here are the swatches!

Here are shades #1-#6. These are your lighter shades and the subtle highlight shades. These all blend together very nicely and are very creamy.
Here are shades #7-#12. These are your darker bronzer, contour and blushes. The blushes are beautiful and you can mix them. Dark Brown #12 is very dark so be careful 🙂 the cool contour shades are awesome to use instead of bronzer to add depth and shadow.

Something else that I forgot to add about this palette is that you can also use it for eyeshadows and it is cruelty-free and vegan! Yay!!!

Tarte X Grav3yardgirl Swamp Queen Palette Swatches!

I know this palette has been out for a while, but I just started a swatch blog and it is in my collection. I have a bunch that I’m going to upload for you all for awareness on how things swatch by brush and finger for an accurate representation of shades and shadows.

This palette is a collaboration with beauty influencer Grav3yardgirl. It is a limited edition full face palette and still in stock for $45 on Tarte’s website. Basically, I love her.  Not only does she do makeup looks and fashion views, but she does a really funny YouTube series called, ‘Does This Thing Really Work?’ Where she reviews As Seen On TV products! Yes!

Here it is! I love the design on here. An alligator with wings! The look and feel of it being wood is great also.
Here’s the back of the palette. There’s no preview of shades or anything on the back except for the serial number and the net weight of the products inside.
Here’s the inside of the palette! It has a bronzer, blush, highlighter and nine eyeshadows! There’s a brush and an awesome mirror that says, ‘Believe in Yourself. Love Yourself. Embrace Your Individuality.’ The palette also smells like chocolate 🙂 to be honest, it’s not an obnoxious scent or overpowering. It is pretty nice.
Here’s the brush that comes with the palette. I decided to do the brush swatches for this palette with the brush provided 🙂

For the swatches, I did the face shades first and then three eyeshadows at a time by row.

First we have the bronzer, ‘Sweet Tea’. It has sparkles in it for extra shine. It is a bit dark for my tone but I can blend it out quite well. The blush, ‘Does This Thing Really Work?’ is a deep rose shade with sparkle in it. I love it. Last, we have the highlight, ‘Gator Wings’. I love the shade of this. However, the fallout is insane. When I used it on numerous occasions, it got all over my shirt, face, coat… everywhere. Pretty but hard to work with. :/
The first row has the shades: #SFS, Big Baby and Haunting. These are your base shades. #SFS is a shimmer base for browbone usage or eye. Big Baby is a beige shade and Haunting is more up my alley being a slight matte purple shimmer. All three of these swatch nicely by finger and brush.
These three shades include: Natural Peaches, Sassy Bun, and Uncommon. These are some really nice lid shimmer shades. Natural Peaches is a really subtle peach that can be used for a crease or base. Sassy Bun is one of my favorite shades in the whole palette. I love how gold and shimmery it is. Uncommon is a shimmery purple shade.
Here’s the last row of the palette. The three shades are: Dogman, Sippy Sippy and Mancat. Dogman is a nice burnt orange shade with sparkles. Note the difference between the finger and brush. The brush is lighter and brings out more orange which I love. Sippy Sippy has a difference in shades and has really nice sparkles in it. Mancat and Sippy Sippy are quite similar but Mancat has no sparkles and is more of a matte purple.

That’s it for all the swatches and review of this collaboration! Besides the highlighter, I love this palette. I reach for it for nice orange looks and completely reminds me of fall. I have no idea how long Tarte is going to keep this in stock so if you were curious about it, grab one!

LunatiCK Cosmetic Labs Elvira Mistress of the Dark Eyeshadow and Blush Palette Swatches!

Dang! That was a mouthful but so worth the huge title. Yes, you read that correctly. Another superb eyeshadow palette with an added blush! Yay! 🙂 This is a limited edition palette to celebrate 35 years of Elvira!  It has the same feel and coffin design of the other palettes, but so different and fun! I love this palette so let’s get started with the pictures!

Here it is! The palette is beautiful! I love the Elvira graphic and how they put it all together! Yes!
Here’s the back of the palette. It says the name of the palette and has a preview of the shades. The shades are: Aunt Morgana, Battitude, Super Unleaded (Blush), Unpleasant Dreams, Macabre, and Bone.
The inside is so fun! It has a pop-up spiderweb and candelabra. The mirror has changed into a dagger and the graphics have changed to bats, webs and a coffin background! Also, let me show you a secret…
Since the pans and palette are magnetic, they hid fun Elvira quotes and bats under the pans! I loved it so much! 🙂

The only thing left are the swatches!

Here are the eyeshadows! I swatched the blush individually because I ran out of room haha. If you’re searching for an awesome blue, check out Battitude! I swear this company also makes such a great black shade. Bone makes for a great subtle highlighter and blender. Macabre is another great red to add to a collection. Aunt Morgana is a subtle shade of purple with a bit of a shimmer.
Here’s the blush. It has a really nice orange-red tone. A little goes a long way, and when fully blended is a great eye catching shade.

I believe that once this palette sells out, it’s out for good. Grab one to add to your collection!
