Nomakenolife September Box!

Hi friends! Happy October! I didn’t get the chance to blog about this in September but I wanted to show you all the items I received in my September Nomakenolife box!

Here are all the adorable items! :)

Here’s a photo of all the cute items! There was a solid variety this month! Eyeliner, eyeshadow, eyelashes, lip gloss, a face and neck mask, and a hair treatment! Whoo! For this review, I’ll be explaining the items and packaging since they’re all in Japanese! Enjoy!

The first item is Delicious Lip Cream. The two scents that were offered in September were chocolate mint or ramune soda. This is the ramune soda scent.

I personally love this mild soda scent. This lip cream contains olive oil, beeswax, she’s butter, jojoba seed, and macadamia nut oil for extra moisturizing qualities.

This lip gloss shows that it was made in Japan and has the company phone number.

The design has two little ramune sodas on the label and is the same size as the usual lip glosses.

Here’s a quick shot of the actual gloss. It doesn’t have a colored tint to it and goes on very smooth.

Look.At.How.Cute.This.Is! I adore this eyeshadow duo! The two colors offered were green (kiwi) and blue (blueberry). Yes, they are scented!

The back states that this product was made in China. It most likely means that it was tested on animals. 😦

Out of the packaging, this is so cute. It’s a hard plastic that has a locking clasp on it.

The bottom of the bean has that it was made in China and that Jelly Belly actually regulated this product.

The little bean has a nice mirror on the lid and has two shimmery shadows. You could actually make a subtle smoky look with this guy. I do have swatches of these two shades at the end of the post!

Holy lashes!! These are from the popular Japanese brand, Rosy Rosa. These eyelashes are a mix of black and brown nylon hairs and are okay for daily wear. It states that you shouldn’t use mascara or an eyelash curler if you intend to re-wear them. #bacteriaawareness.

How-to apply these beauties: remove the lashes from their casing and re-size them to fit your eyes. Next, apply lash glue to the eyelash strip and place the strip to your eyelid, making sure it goes toward the outer corners. Finally, let the glue dry.

This is the S-Labo Face and Neck Care Mask. The mask claims to reverse sagging skin. It is a lifting mask that helps moisturize. The mask has Hyaluronic Acid, Ceramide and a handful of plant extracts.

The steps are shown in pictures at the top. First, make sure to clean your face. Apply the mask to your face and neck. This mask has ear loops! You wanna hook the loops on the face and neck section over your ears! Woah! And then keep this on for 15 minutes and then remove.

This next product… I’m so in love with. This is the Ayurbio Damaged Hair Mask! This mask promises to fix your damaged hair and leaves behind a subtle apple scent. The mask is sulfate-free, has over 38 botanical extracts (apple stem cells), raw keratin, 16 types of amino acids, collagen, Ceramide, and honey!

After washing your hair, make sure to wring out the excess water. Next, take some of mask and coat your hair in it. After two minutes or so, rinse out the mask with warm water. Please try this. My hair has been so much healthier!

The last product is Cezanne Easy Eyeliner. It has a subtle and simple packaging.

The back states that this eyeliner is brown, has a batch code and the barcode.

This eyeliner is super tiny. And easy to lose. Trust me on that one haha.

This eyeliner has an elliptical shape so you can control the size and width of their lines. It is also retractable.

The next shot is a picture of all the swatchable items! There’s the eyeliner and the eyeshadow! Enjoy!

The eyeliner is a dark brown shade and very creamy. The eyeshadows are a light shimmery green and a shimmery olive green that both smell like kiwi.

That’s all for last month’s box! Get ready for more updates in October! Xo!

Nomakenolife August 2017 Box!

Hi readers! I apologize for my lack of updates this week. School starts for the little and I had a lot of things to prepare and get ready for. I also have another job other than running this blog so I’ve been loving on this pink cloud of happiness because I love it.

Kinda feeling like Lakitu. Nerdy yet happily floating by with waves of anxiety. 😂😂😂

Also, I’m not sure if you all heard but Beautycon no longer offers their subscription box service so I no longer will be posting about those :/ I always enjoyed those boxes and thought it was worth the money. Anyways, this month’s Nomakenolife subscription box features skin-nourishing soap, awesome smelling lotion, a toothbrush(???), purple eyeliner, and Rune Naito sheet masks. I’ll never complain about receiving too many skincare items because I have sensitive skin and I love keeping my skin clear and healthy. As usual, I have a front and back description of each item and any swatches that are necessary. Enjoy!

I set up all the items from this month in the box for you all! As you can see, all the items are full-size 🙂

And here they are all spread out on my body pillow. I added the booklet that comes with each box to give some detail on the products you received this month.

The first item this month is a toothbrush. I was curious yet confused as to why this was included in the box. Also, I just recently bought a toothbrush so my enthusiasm was a bit low. This is the Candy Faceline Massage Toothbrush.

This toothbrush was created with dentists to not only clean your teeth but massages your mouth with the ball on the other side of the toothbrush. The ball massages your laugh lines and you can use it to massage your lips.

The second item are the Rune Naito Rune Girl Face Masks. Rune Naito is considered one of the fathers of the modern “kawaii” movement. His artwork is inspired by looks from the 1960s.

These masks were assembled in Japan but made in Korea. To use these masks, you first clean your face and apply toner. Next, use a warm cloth to open your pores. After that, take a mask out of the package and leave on your face for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes pass, press the serum on your face and neck.

You get two masks in this pack. Both masks are a moisturizing masks that aid dry skin.

The third item is a tofu soap by Hada Bijin. This soap contains soybean extract and bittern which will help moisturize skin. The addition of apricot seed, yuzu fruit extract, and polyglutamic acid aid in additional moisture.

The soap comes in a basket that makes the perfect soap dish and it includes a foaming net that helps create lather. I’m really interested in this item. 🙂

Next, we have the Lassic Creamy Mint Body Massage Milk. I’ve been using this since my box arrived. I love the fresh scent and how light this milk is. This product has caffiene and orange, lemon, and bilberry fruit extracts to tighten the skin.

This body milk also has Hyaluronic Acid for its nourishing properties. This is a non-sticky and lightweight formula that makes you… tingly.

The last item is a Coupy-Design Gel Eyeliner by Decora Girl. This company is known throughout Japan as a colored plastic pencil maker that has stylish packaging and gorgeous colors.

This eyeliner has a waterproof formula, that is soft and precise in application. The eyeliner has ten moisturizing ingredients to make your looks look fresh throughout the day.

Please note that this eyeliner is non-retractable so only twist a small amount at a time.

Here is a swatch of the eyeliner for you all. I love how pigmented this shade of purple is and the description was correct in saying that it is smooth and very easy to apply.

Okay friends! There is my small summary of all the items I received in my Nomakenolife August box! I hope you enjoyed it! Xo

How I feel about Suqqu Foundation.

Hi friends! Today. On my face, I’m wearing Suqqu Foundation. To be honest, I’ve never heard of it until Jaime’s mother asked me about it because she purchased it. That means I had to research some stuff.

Outside of Japan, Suqqu is found in Japanese department stores. Mainly in Taiwan and Thailand. It can be found in the United Kingdom as well. The Japanese words, Suuqu-to means posture with attitude. Well. My my my. This brand strives to give women ways to help with self confidence and well being by taking care of their skin and herself. This brand is known for gankin, or facial core techniques. In Japan, facial massage is an important step in skincare.

To be honest, it has taken me forever to look for a price on this stuff and I was way too polite to bring up a price in conversation. After combing the internet for a price, this foundation typically will run you around $66 to $100 depending on retailer, availability and if your shade is in stock or not. Thankfully, Jaime’s mother was nice enough to let me sample some of hers for my post today so yay! Here are some quick pictures of the product for you.

Here is a photo of the box. It is a very minimal black box that has barely any writing on it except for the embossed logo on the side and the sticker showing ingredients, shade number and website. The location of the company is also printed on the sticker.
Here is the top of the jar. All it has is the name of the company on a shiny black top. The bottle is made of glass.
Here is a side look to the bottle. It doesn’t look like there is a lot of product (which is why I felt bad taking any) but a little goes a long way.

Okay, so for today I went out for a few hours with my mom and wanted to text how this foundation held up with it being kind of warm outside today.

Before adding the foundation, I added Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer to my face. Just to keep it real, I used my Nomakenolife Lucky Wink foundation brush to apply the foundation. I followed the step to add a pearl sized amount to both cheeks and forehead. After that you dip into the foundation and stipple the area. After fully patted around, smooth it all out.
Here is what the foundation looked like with just the three drops I used. I kid you not. It didn’t take a while to dry down and completely covered my face.

Fast forward about 15 minutes…

Here is a quick look I put together to go out and test this foundation. My skin feels light and not weighed down. The foundation is very matte and my skin is breathing. Eyes are Lime Crime. Lips are Caked. Brows are Anastasia Beverly Hills.

That photo was also taken at 10:15 AM. Let’s see what it looks like at 2:45 PM…

Okay so here’s the look four hours and fifteen minutes later. The only thing to wear off slightly is the liquid lipstick. My face still feels matte and not greasy. I didn’t have to blot down my face at all or wipe at it. I’m pretty impressed with that just because I do have oily skin.

I do like the performance of this foundation. I’m happy that my face wasn’t oily or greasy as the day went on. If this wasn’t so hard to find or expensive, I would probably purchase some for myself. Xo

Nomakenolife April

Hey everybody! This April subscription box came yesterday but I had to go grab my daughter from school so I had to put it off until today! The box’s main focus was Skincare Essentials! I love skincare so I’m seriously hyped!

There are a bunch of things in these items that you may or may not know about. I’m going to give a definition what some of the ingredients are.

Hyaluronic Acid: This sugary molecule occurs naturally in the skin’s structure and connective tissue throughout the body. It helps lubricate joints and keeps things moisturized so they stay in shape and stay in the right place! What a natural helper! 🙂 This super helper is known for retaining moisture, it has almost 1000 times its weight in water. As the skin ages, it tends to sag so this is a huge helper in preventing this from happening!

Ceramide: These are lipid molecules that are found in skin membranes. In the top layer of skin, the ceramide holds the skin together forming a protective layer that plumps the skin and retains moisture. In skincare, these guys replenish natural lipids that get lost due to environmental factors, drying products and aging. These are used to help eczema.

AHA Fruit Acid: or alpha hydroxy acids are derived from natural fruit acids and are used as a great way to exfoliate skin. It helps break down dead skin cells, loosens dirt, makeup, and clogged pores. A lot of newer skin masks have this in them and you can also make your own face masks at home!

I also love mysteries so figuring out what each product does is fun! This box came with five full-size items 🙂 let me show you the box!

Here’s the box for this month! The green orb looking thing did have packaging but sadly it cracked in transit and I had to clean the outside. There was still product in it thankfully! I always loved how in Japan they show babies’ faces to describe skincare items 🙂

As usual, if you are curious about trying an item, I am going to link as many as I can for you to try them too!

The first item is the Shiseido Senka Perfect Whip & Face Wash. This is apparently a really popular face wash in Japan. It has two types of hyaluronic acids and naturally derived silk essence in it. I had to try this last night and it is pretty nice. It lathers well, and you only need a little bit for your face. It has a light fragrance to it. One of the things that I’m happy about is how my face doesn’t feel as oily as it usually is.

If you want to try this one, which I think you should, you can snag it here: Japan Health and Personal – Senka Perfect Whip 120g *AF27*

This is the DotFree Deep Clay. Look at all the babies all over this packaging! This clay mask has three different clays in it. There is also charcoal and aha fruit acid to remove dirt and impurities. There are also three different types of collagen to help moisturizing. To use it, clean your face and dry with a cloth or towel. Rub and massage the clay mask onto your skin. Wait three to five minutes and then rinse with warm water.

The DotFree Deep Clay can be purchased right here: DotFree Deep Peeling Clay – 130g (4.59 Oz) : Made in Japan ; with AHA and Ghassoul

Next we have the Derizum Moisture Veil Skin Cream! Whoo! This promises poreless baby-like skin containing 15 types of amino acids, eight types of ceramide, 3000mg of hyaluronic acid and DNA-NA. This protects your skin from natural irritants while helping it feel better. All you have to do to use it is rub a small amount of it on your skin after your face wash.
This is the Menturm Lip Dress Pearl Beige lip cream. It is formulated with shea butter and jojoba oil spill it keeps your lips smooth and hydrated. It also has 12 spf to protect your lips from the sun.

You can try this Lip Dress here: Omi Brotherhood Lip Dress Bright Red 3.5g

This unfortunately is how this looked when I received my package. It made me so sad.
I just wanted to dump a whole bunch of photos of this guy all over because it is adorable. 🙂
Here it is outside of the packaging! The top comes off and there’s a jelly inside. It is just simply called a Melon All-in-one Gel. It has anti-aging properties and works as a toner, moisturizer, essence, and makeup base. It has amino acids, minerals and vitamins derived from melons and has three types of collagen, hyaluronic acid and five different fruit extracts.

I’m so happy that this came and I get to experiment with a bunch of different items monthly. If you go to their site they’re offering a lifetime 10% off of each box per month!
