Ipsy Glambag for October!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!!

Hi friends and ghouls! Halloween is my favorite holiday and my treat for you guys is my review of my Glambag for October. 👻👻👻 The bag is adorable and the products in it are great. There was an awesome variety. Let’s get started!

The bag is this really subtle lace design with almost a suede-like feel. It’s pretty glam for Halloween.

My favorite little detail on this bag is the adorable little Ipsy bat. I love subtle decoration so I thought this was perfect.

Here’s a quick preview of the products from my Glambag this month. There’s an Urban Decay eyeliner, peach hand lotion, Tarte mascara, nail polish, and a Korean face wash. Win!

I loved the front of this card that came with the products. Because hey, witches, werewolves, vampires, mummies, etc… are not responsible for the full moon happenings.

The back of the card explains why they chose the items they did and how it relates to fall.

Okay, I’m going to start reviewing products now. The only swatches I could do this month were for the eyeliner and a nail swatch of the shade of nail polish. Enjoy!

I never use eye pencil liners because my eyes are crazy wet and it bleeds out of the ends of my eyes. I haven’t tried this new pencil at all so I was willing to give it a shot.

The back of the box shows us that we can make this smudgey smoky eye look with this pencil.

There are 41 different colors in this collection! How?! Why?! What?! I had the same reaction when they released all their Vice lipsticks too… It kind of comes off as a sensory overload and I can’t deal with all the options.

This the pen out of the sample card. It has a nice size and the cap is made of metal.

I have the darkest shade. It has a nice look to it. I will have a swatch below.

This is the Water Luminous Jelly Cleanser by JMsolution. It has Hyaluronic Acid in it for deep cleaning and is a Korean skincare product.

This cleaner does turn into a foam and then you just massage it onto your face. Rinse it off of course. 🙂

Next is the Lifted mascara by Tarte. I’m pretty sure this is part of their active makeup line so you can wear it to the gym. I’m not about that life so, I just use it. I’m not a supporter of Tarte after all the security breaches and lack of communication with their fans the last couple of months.

This is just a shot of some quick distribution information and proof that it is “sweatproof” mascara.

The shade is brown. It does look more natural but I prefer black. The formula isn’t stinky either.

This is my favorite lotion scent by Tony Moly. They use actual peach juice and extracts for a fresh peach scent.

This side shows the volume, directions and ingredient list. Wheee!

Also the U.S. official Tony Moly page shared yours truly using their painting therapy masks! ❤❤❤

My last product is a charcoal infused nail polish by Nail Medic. It protects against toxins and restores nail health.

This side of the box shows all the social media platforms that they’re on.

This brand has over 1,000 different colors and textures. It also resists chipping, fading and cracking for 10 days. This product is cruelty-free, paraben-free, sulfate-free, phthalate-free, petrochemical-free, GMO-free, triclosan-free, and VEGAN! 💣💣

You can tag your mani for a chance to win a free nail polish!!!!

Here’s the bottle out of the packaging. It’s a pretty gray color and has 9.33 fluid ounces.

This is flammable so be careful!

Okay this last picture has the swatches of the nail polish and eyeliner!

There they are! I labeled them for you. The eyeliner applied smoothly and stayed on my hand for quite a while. The nail polish dried quickly and stayed on very nicely.

Do you like Halloween? What’s your favorite horror movie or tradition?! Xo

Sephora Play! July Subscription

Hi friends! Today I have the Sephora Play! July Subscription! Yay! So I recently saw that Sephora points expire after 18 months. Basically, that means no more stocking up. That’s going to make it harder to save for those large ticket rewards. :/ I’m not in an uproar about it but it still stinks. Let’s get started with the review!

Here’s the cute bag that all my items came in. They also had the product description pamphlet.
Here is the first side of the fold out pamphlet. This features fun ways to relax and pamper yourself while at home and on vacation.
The second side features all the products that I received in my bag. I was pretty happy this month. I either got products I love or products that I wanted to try. Score!
Here is a quick shot of all the items from this month.

Let’s breakdown the items…

This is the VineActive serum by Caudalie. This is a glow activating anti-wrinkle treatment. Caudalie has a patented Anti-Cell Burn-out Complex that helps skin damage caused by pollution, stress and other problems caused by, well, life.
The back of this serum has instructions on how much product to apply. After cleaning and toning, apply to your face and neck. You can use it under you makeup also. 🙂
This is seriously one of my favorite face masks. I always make sure I have some on hand when travelling or just to use at home. This gel mask hydrates and tones and has a nice addition of rosewater and rose petals.
The pack of the canister has the how to directions, distribution information, and the 0.5 fluid ounces. I love that you can use this mask daily. Apply all over your face, watch your eyes and mouth, and rinse clean in five to ten minutes.
Here is a close-up shot of the rose face mask. You can see all the textures in there and the small pieces of rose petals. The smell is so lovely and not overpowering. This reminds me of how hot and sour soup looks but all rosy.
The third item is Briogeo’s Rosarco Milk Reparative Leave-in Conditioner Treatment. Phew. That was a lot to say. This product isn’t greasy thank the stars. I’m so picky with leave-in treatments and this I liked. This milk spray is a mix of coconut, rose, and argan oil.
The back of the bottle has an ingredient list and a quick reading about their product. This treatment is sulfate-free, paraben-free, silicone-free, phthalate-free, has no artificial colors and No DEA. Yay! All you have to do to use this spray it onto clean, wet hair and either blow dry or air dry your hair.
This is a lipstick from Tarte’s Rainforest of the Sea line in shade ‘Set Sail’. I really liked the color of the tube and the lipstick shade.
The bottom of the tube has the shade name in the middle and the distribution information. This product is 0.035 ounces. Did you know that all the Rainforest of the Sea products contain algae and marine flowers to help soften and smooth areas that you apply makeup to?
The shade ‘Set Sail’ is a pretty dark rose shade that has a mild scent and a buttery texture. You can apply this by using a lip brush or applying directly. Start in the middle over to the corners of your lips.
Here is an arm swatch of Set Sail. I love this color. For the most part, this shade is pretty long-lasting and is full-coverage.
The fifth product is a Bobbi Brown’s Eye Opening mascara. This formula is supposed to thicken, curl and lift your lashes. This product also boasts how easy it is to remove after application.
The
The other side of the tube just has the name of the mascara and a barcode.
Here is a shot of the applicator. The instructions say to remove this mascara, just use warm water. I liked this mascara but I hated how the product didn’t fully coat the applicator brush.
The fragrance of the month is from Clean and is the scent ‘Sueded Oud’. I adore Clean perfumes because of how the packaging is recyclable and everything is cruelty-free.
The back of the sample has the ingredients and the ounces (0.05) it is flammable.
The inside of the tester has a sustainable mission statement and information about the perfume. The Fragrance Family is described as Earthy and Woody. The top notes are: Honeysuckle, blue cypress, and bitch wood. The middle notes are: Temple oud and night blooming Jasmine. The base notes are: Soft suede, gold patchouli, and black amber.

That’s it for the July Sephora Play! Subscription. How do you all feel about the upgraded membership for the one-time only black box? What about the points? Xo

Nomakenolife May!

Hi friends! On Friday after I did my blog posts for the day, the mailman dropped off this! This is the Nomakenolife May crate all the way from Japan! This is one of my favorite subscriptions because for $27 a month, you get five to seven full-size items straight from Japan! I’m a sucker for cute packaging and really fun things that we don’t offer here in America! I accidentally threw out the box but it was just the usual black box that the items get shipped in.

The first item in the box was Menturm petroleum jelly. This is used as a multi-purpose product that spreads easily and creates a barrier to moisturize skin.
The product is mild and hypoallergenic and it doesn’t have any fragrance, dye or parabens so this can be used on everyone. Especially on the face and lips. This is the back of the package.
The second item is a lip tint by Brigitte. The packaging is very tiny yet cute. It is a bright coral shade.
This is the back of the package. This lip color is enriched with fruit extracts, pomegranate, apple, peach, grapefruit and raspberry. They have moisturizing properties.
The third item is a liquid eyeliner by Brigitte. This company has adorable packaging. It has a super slim brush in a brown shade.
Here is the back of the packaging. It has the website for products and I’m going to assume an ingredient list. This is a long lasting formula that will not rub off from sweating and tears. It also has chamomile flower extract.
This mascara is a new favorite. This is the Love Switch Oil treatment mascara. The box shows a woman at the top with what I can assume promoting how the lashes look. It smells like lavender and is oil based.
Here is the back of the package. It shows you how to properly apply the mascara, what it does for the lashes and what it has ingredient-wise. This is a waterproof mascara but it comes off easily and it gentle. It is water-free and is a black color that has avocado, hazelnut, camellia seed, olive and meadowfoam seed oils in it. They’re high performance beauty oils in Japan.
This brush is the Lucky Wink super cover foundation brush. This is Japan’s number one seller as far as oval-type foundation brushes go. You can use liquid, cream or gel foundation with this brush. It is synthetic so I can be cleaned with mild soap.
Here is the back of the package. It shows a diagram of the bristles. There were illustrated instructions in the package but there are four steps to use this brush accurately. It says to put a pearl size amount of foundation on forehead and both cheeks. Next, you softly tap to spread the foundation in those areas. Using a sweeping motion, spread the foundation to the rest of your face. And for a long lasting effect, press your face gently with a sponge.
The last items were a pretty nice treat from TokyoTreat. This month Ahalo Butter decided to send out samples of their deep cleaning shampoo and deep conditioning hair mask.
This is a popular line in Japan and they recently started selling products to the United States online! They included a coupon for their store for 20% off! Yay!

I seriously always love this box. The Brigitte items were a huge feature this month with adorable packaging and a nice looking product. The brush will come in handy when I don’t want to use the long handle of the Artis brushes. Xo

Too Faced X Nikkietutorials The Power of Makeup Collection and Swatches!

Hi friends and makeup collectors! Today I’m going to review the Too Faced X Nikkietutorials collaboration collection! I know this came out a while ago but I didn’t start blogging then. It took a while to decide to turn my makeup enthusiasm into an informative aide for people searching the internet. Okay, so I grabbed this on Sephora’s website on launch day because I love Nikkie. I’m not a huge Too Faced fan because I think their shades are very, well, boring and recycled with each palette that comes out. I also think the shades don’t last very long or all middle together into a very uncomplimentary Brown. Okay let’s start looking at the collection.

Here’s the box the collection comes in. It has the same design as the palette inside.
Here’s the back of the box. It has a complete ingredient list of every item included and a quick picture preview of all the included items.
Here’s everything included in the collection. There’s a glamour tutorial guide, eyeshadow primer, eyeliner, glitter, mascara, and of course the palette.
Here is what the Glamour Dust in ‘Glitterally’ looks like. You definitely need a glitter glue or primer for this to stay on.
Better Than Sex is a great mascara. This one comes in a purple shade! It is exclusive to this collection!
This eyeliner is the Sketch Marker Eyeliner. It has a nice tip but I wish it flexed a bit like the ones I typically use.
Here’s the front of the palette.
Here’s the back of the palette. It has a quick summary of the collaboration.
Here’s the inside of the palette. It doesn’t have a mirror and reminds me of the Vegas Nay collaboration in setup. There are nine eyeshadows, two blushes, bronzer and highlighter.

I did the swatches by row since there are three in each row. The blushes are swatched together and the highlighter and bronzer are swatched together.

Here’s the first row. It has two shimmer shades and a nice and light base shade.
This second row has two mattes that can be used as a base or transition shade. Irresistible is a very nice shimmer gold shade that is very subtle when used with a brush. Unfortunately, that does happen with a majority of gold shadows.
This is the last eyeshadow row. It has two shimmer colors and one matte black that is actually… very nice. A lot of black shadows don’t last or aren’t very pigmented. I’m happy with this black.
Here are the blush swatches. I Will Always Love You is a beautiful orange blush that adds a subtle color and shade to your cheeks. Justify My Love is a beautiful bright pink with some sparkle. It does get a bit of fallout but nothing frustrating or insane. It blends out quite nicely.
Here’s the bronzer and highlighter. Champagne Truffle is from the Chocolate Bar palettes and is Nikki’s go to which is why it was included. Chocolate Soleil is one of Too Faced best selling bronzers and smells like chocolate. I would live without the smell but it a nice contour shade.

That’s it for this collection! You get a lot of things with it so when it was on sale for $60 it was definitely worth it. I wish the shadows were a bit more unique but overall, it is nice but I just don’t grab for it much.
