Nomakenolife September Box!

Hi friends! Happy October! I didn’t get the chance to blog about this in September but I wanted to show you all the items I received in my September Nomakenolife box!

Here are all the adorable items! :)

Here’s a photo of all the cute items! There was a solid variety this month! Eyeliner, eyeshadow, eyelashes, lip gloss, a face and neck mask, and a hair treatment! Whoo! For this review, I’ll be explaining the items and packaging since they’re all in Japanese! Enjoy!

The first item is Delicious Lip Cream. The two scents that were offered in September were chocolate mint or ramune soda. This is the ramune soda scent.

I personally love this mild soda scent. This lip cream contains olive oil, beeswax, she’s butter, jojoba seed, and macadamia nut oil for extra moisturizing qualities.

This lip gloss shows that it was made in Japan and has the company phone number.

The design has two little ramune sodas on the label and is the same size as the usual lip glosses.

Here’s a quick shot of the actual gloss. It doesn’t have a colored tint to it and goes on very smooth.

Look.At.How.Cute.This.Is! I adore this eyeshadow duo! The two colors offered were green (kiwi) and blue (blueberry). Yes, they are scented!

The back states that this product was made in China. It most likely means that it was tested on animals. 😦

Out of the packaging, this is so cute. It’s a hard plastic that has a locking clasp on it.

The bottom of the bean has that it was made in China and that Jelly Belly actually regulated this product.

The little bean has a nice mirror on the lid and has two shimmery shadows. You could actually make a subtle smoky look with this guy. I do have swatches of these two shades at the end of the post!

Holy lashes!! These are from the popular Japanese brand, Rosy Rosa. These eyelashes are a mix of black and brown nylon hairs and are okay for daily wear. It states that you shouldn’t use mascara or an eyelash curler if you intend to re-wear them. #bacteriaawareness.

How-to apply these beauties: remove the lashes from their casing and re-size them to fit your eyes. Next, apply lash glue to the eyelash strip and place the strip to your eyelid, making sure it goes toward the outer corners. Finally, let the glue dry.

This is the S-Labo Face and Neck Care Mask. The mask claims to reverse sagging skin. It is a lifting mask that helps moisturize. The mask has Hyaluronic Acid, Ceramide and a handful of plant extracts.

The steps are shown in pictures at the top. First, make sure to clean your face. Apply the mask to your face and neck. This mask has ear loops! You wanna hook the loops on the face and neck section over your ears! Woah! And then keep this on for 15 minutes and then remove.

This next product… I’m so in love with. This is the Ayurbio Damaged Hair Mask! This mask promises to fix your damaged hair and leaves behind a subtle apple scent. The mask is sulfate-free, has over 38 botanical extracts (apple stem cells), raw keratin, 16 types of amino acids, collagen, Ceramide, and honey!

After washing your hair, make sure to wring out the excess water. Next, take some of mask and coat your hair in it. After two minutes or so, rinse out the mask with warm water. Please try this. My hair has been so much healthier!

The last product is Cezanne Easy Eyeliner. It has a subtle and simple packaging.

The back states that this eyeliner is brown, has a batch code and the barcode.

This eyeliner is super tiny. And easy to lose. Trust me on that one haha.

This eyeliner has an elliptical shape so you can control the size and width of their lines. It is also retractable.

The next shot is a picture of all the swatchable items! There’s the eyeliner and the eyeshadow! Enjoy!

The eyeliner is a dark brown shade and very creamy. The eyeshadows are a light shimmery green and a shimmery olive green that both smell like kiwi.

That’s all for last month’s box! Get ready for more updates in October! Xo!

Nomakenolife July Box!

Hi friends! Today I’m going to do a quick overview of the Nomakenolife July Subscription Box. As you a know, this box is imported from Japan and for $30 you get five to seven full-size products. This month’s box was all about keeping your skin nice, fresh, and glowing.

Here are the products that were included in this month’s box. We have a CC cream, face mask, a skin peel treatment, tweezers, and a massage jelly for your skin.
The first item is the Hollywood Orchid Enzyme Mask. The booklet states that this mask treatment has been around for 50 years and helping people keep their skin beautiful. The enzymes are mixed fresh by you, and applied to the face.
Here is the back of the package. I will do a how-to post in the near future to show how to mix and apply this face mask. The directions say to tear the package at the top. Squeeze the cream side of the packet so that all the cream is put into the powder part of the packet. You want to separate the packet into two parts and mix with a small spoon. After you clean your face of all the dirt and oils, spread the mixture in your face and leave on your face for 3-10 minutes depending on your skin. 3-6 minutes for sensitive and dry skin and 7-10 for normal to oily skin. All you have to do is rinse your face with warm water after the allotted time and you’re good to go!
This is the PeelingGood Peeling Gel Kit. This kit contains papain, hydrolized collagen and lemon extract. This product comes with five black cotton swabs to apply the peeling gel and the black cotton lets you see how much dead skin and dirt are being removed.
The back of the package says this product is made in Korea but from Japan. The directions say that after you wash your face you want to wipe away any moisture with a clean and dry towel. Next, open the bottle with the gel and soak a cotton swab until it is fully coated with the gel. When the swab is coated, spread the gel over your face and avoid your eyes and lips. To remove it all you have to do is wash the gel off with warm water and use a toner if necessary.
This large product is the Profael Massage Jelly Body Mask. This mask is meant for you to use during your shower or bath. This jelly has wormwood extract and 30 (yes, 30!) other Japanese plants to nourish your skin.
The directions say to take two grape-sized drops of the jelly and massage into the wet skin after you wash away the dirt. Next, wash off after two to three minutes in the shower. I’m excited to try this jelly.
The fourth item is Sweet-Sweet Air Moisturizing CC Cream. This is the sister brand to Canmake. This is a high-performance CC that works as a color corrector, pore concealer, moisturizer and sunscreen (50 SPF! Yeah!)
The back of the box has no English except for the phrase, ‘Sweet Delicious Essence’. Sounds oddly satisfying. This product also has PA++++ to protect from UVB and UVA rays! Thanks, Sweet Sweet!
This shade is 03 Peach. It is pretty neutral and it blends well as a skin tone brightener or as a foundation. I’m probably going to try this today and see how it looks.
This is the back of the tube for the CC Cream. There isn’t much product information. There are 30 grams of product 🙂
These tweezers are from Browtician. This is an Australian brand that is very popular in the Asian beauty scene. Each set is hand sharpened for extra precision and control.
Here is the back of the case. All the information is in Japanese but these are the ultimate on-the-go tweezers because the case has a mirrored bottom.

This tweezer is zebra print and holographic. I love the design. These are pretty high quality and do not feel like light plastic. Quality tweezers are a must in my beauty routine.

Okay friends! That is all that was includes in the July box! I have Ipsy and Sephora Play! Coming up soon! I also purchased some fun items that will be up for review! Until next time! Xo

Beautycon Summer Box!

Hi loves! The Beautycon box comes every three months and I completely forgot about it! The box curators for this season are Kim Thai and Aidette Cancino. To be honest, I have no idea who Aidette is but I do love Kim. She has a great moisturizer out with Ofra Cosmetics and false eyelashes with Cake Face Cosmetics and she’s great with body positivity and a good outlook.

This box costs $35 (cost with shipping included) a bit pricey but the products inside exceed the cost by a bunch. To be honest, I wasn’t super stoked to have anything in this box but I can’t complain about anything given.

This is how the box looks when it comes. It does have a holographic band that went around it but that had my address and I want to keep that private 😂

Here is a quick preview of what the box looks like this Summer. It seems a bit lackluster. I eyeballed those face masks though!

Every time Beautycon has a box, they give a card in it that tells you what products are in it. This is just the front. I think it is a close-up of broken CDs.

Here is the back of the card. It has a list of all the products and the company instagram names. They also have all the platforms you can find Beautycon on.

Now that we have the box and the card explained, let’s move on to the products!

Our first product is from Colourpop. This is their Ultra Satin Lip in shade, London Fog. To be honest, I’m not a huge fan of Colourpop and tend to shy away because of all the drama with their shipping department but I liked this. It did stay pretty sticky on my lips but it didn’t wear off easily.

Here is a quick shot of the applicator. It is a doe foot that doesn’t flex too much and picks up a decent amount of product.

Here is a lip swatch of the London Fog shade. This was taken about three hours after the first application. It still looked pretty nice after all that time. I did make an arm swatch of everything found in this box but I will include it at the end!

Product two is a Lush Lip Gloss by Doucce. I don’t wear lip glosses just because I like my lip products to dry down. This is a super high gloss with a pretty pink sparkle hue.

Here is a quick shot of the applicator. It is the same doe foot as the Colourpop one.

The third product is a eyeshadow crayon by Dirty Little Secret Cosmetics in shade Gold Plated. I really liked this and it reminds me of the eye caviar by Laura Mercier. It goes on smoothly and has a nice sparkle to it.

The top of the crayon is where all your pigment is. You just apply it to your eyelid and dab it with your finger to blend. This is also a twist bottom so if the eyeshadow gets low, you can twist to get a better tip.

Item four is a Makeupdrop×Beautycon collaboration for a silicone makeup applicator. This one says it is the original when Molly Cosmetics did come out with it first. I swear, sometimes saying, ‘The Original’ reminds me of a place having the ‘World’s Best Pizza/Coffee’. This is cruelty-free, paraben free, and non-toxic.

This is a shot of the back of the box. It has directions and how to clean it. They have their email just in case there’s an issue and their Instagram handle. Their website is also available to you.

This is what the silicone applicator looks like. It has a stamp with the collaboration on it and is shaped like a droplet of water. The one disappointing thing is that this applicator stunk really bad. I’m hoping washing it and keeping it with my things will make it better.

The fifth product is by Manna Kadar Beauty. This Flutter Mascara in Jet Black is Leaping Bunny approved and smells nice and floral.  This retails for $29 so for the price of the box, it was a steal!

Here is a shot of the mascara wand. It looks like an hourglass and this one can coat every lash. The formula is unique because it comes off in strings in the shower and doesn’t smudge all over your face instead! I love it.

Product six is an eyeliner pencil by Jontéblu in shade Electric Bleu. I don’t use pencil eyeliner but it has a nice feel to it. The liner didn’t catch on my skin and was pretty pigmented.

Product seven and eight are both by Deco Miami. The nail file is made of frosted glass and is a nice pink to white ombre. The cuticle oil is vegan, cruelty-free and all natural. It has a nice lemon scent and made my nails looks pretty.

This oil helped brush the cuticles back and added a really nice shine to my nails.

Product nine is a peel-off gel mask by Freeman. I used to use these masks when I was a kid because I love to peel them off. I’m having a nostalgic moment! This is a cucumber mask that is used to refresh skin.

Here is the back of the package. It has directions on how to use it and take it off, their website and symbols that show they’re on Facebook and Instagram. This is also cruelty-free.

The last item are two bamboo charcoal sheet masks by Feel. The front says these are powerful detoxifiers. I’m hoping they work like the Boscia Charcoal Pore Pudding!

The best part is finding out that this is a Korean skincare mask! Yes! They have the ingredients listed, a how to use, and what main ingredients are in the mask and their properties.

Here are those arm swatches that I promised you!

Here they all are! The blue eyeliner is so vibrant and fun. The Colourpop shade is a bright red that is nicely pigmented. I loved the shade for the lip gloss but it was so sticky. The eyeshadow is beautiful and subtle.

There you have my review of the products included in this summer box! I hope you enjoy and if you have any questions, please let me know! Xo

Sephora Play! May Edition!

Hi friends! I received this box yesterday but I already blogged and I was helping my mom with her hair and doing one of those Tony Moly Therapy Clay masks! I have another fun post coming today because my Storybook Cosmetics Wizardry and Witchcraft eyeshadow palette is out for delivery! Yay! I’m purposely waiting to blog about it today.

In other news, Chris Cornell passed away. Rest in peace to a talented performer. My good friends took their daughter to have open heart surgery this morning so I’m also hoping for the best for her. ❤ She was diagnosed as having ASD (Atrial Septal Defect) and has a six hour procedure.

This month’s Play box featured some cult favorites that are in the rise. Included is a highlighter stick, perfume, a hair mask, lip plumper, resurfacing mask, and a blurring stick.

Each box comes with a fold out pamphlet. The first side goes through seven things you didn’t know you could do at Sephora. That is also where your Play! Pass is located. You can redeem the pass by purchasing anything at Sephora and presenting the pass. You get an extra 50 Beauty Insider points added to your account.
Here is the back side of the pamphlet. This shows you all your samples for this month. There is always a perfume sample of the month which I love.
Usually when you get your box it comes in a drawstring fabric bag. This one is a jelly like plastic latch bag. I prefer this more than the others.

I’m going to go over the samples now and show you pictures of course! 🙂

Our first sample is Grande Lips clear lip plumper. This formula has a Hyaluronic Acid-infused formula. It plumps and softens lips over time. Alicia Grande is the founder of the company and she started with an eyelash formula.
Here is the inside of the deluxe sample. It says that this will instantly plump lips in three to five minutes. GrandeLIPS is gluten free, paraben free and is not tested on animals. If you look, the pictures of the lips are after a 30 day study and applied twice daily.
Here is a picture of the applicator. It is a flat rounded applicator. You apply this product to clean, dry lips. You can wear it alone or layer under other lip products. And for the best results, use twice daily.

To be honest, my lips are pretty full on their own so I probably won’t be using much of this product.

The second item is Rahua Omega 9 Hair Mask. This is a conditioning treatment that is salon quality. It is full of omega oils that soak into damaged or dull hair to add shine and make it vibrant again. This has Rahua nut oil in it which Amazonian tribes used in their hair, apparently.
As you can see this is made from all natural ingredients. The directions are simple. After you shampoo, apply to your hair and comb through. Leave in for 10 to 15 minutes and then rinse out. Use it once a week.

I’m going to use this today with the Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask and I will check in with you all after I use both.

Edit: this stuff smells great and makes my hair feel very light and healthy.

The third item is the Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask. This is a non-irritating mask that works like a peel treatment to purify and revitalize skin with a blend of botanicals.
A fun fact about Tata Harper is that she was once an engineer. All of these masks are made in small batches by her and a group of chemists. It has eleven natural ingredients, for example, pomegranate enzymes and French pink clay. To use it, you apply a thick layer to a clean face and leave on for 20 to 30 minutes (10 if you have sensitive skin) and rinse with warm water. Use once a week for normal skin or three times a week for oil and blemish control.

I’m seriously excited to use this because I love masks! Considering these are made in small batches and have natural ingredients, I’m sold!

Edit: I kept this on for the full 30 minutes. Like most peel masks do, it tightened like crazy. But you didn’t have to peel it off, you just washed your face with warm water and it dissolved. My skin feels great!

The fourth item is a blur stick from Milk Makeup. This is a matte coverage blur stick. It smooths and primes skin by minimizing pores and fine lines. This company is pretty popular. I’ve heard good things and then I’ve heard some not so good things like clogged pores and breakouts.
This is what the color is of the blur stick. These containers were designed for one hand application and ease. To apply this, you simply swipe all over your face and blend. You can wear it alone but it is a better primer for foundation.

Despite what I heard about clogged pores and breakouts, I’m going to still try this out. I’ve been super curious about this brand since I’ve seen their holographic sticks.

The fifth item is a highlight and multipurpose stick by Trèstique. This formula has coconut oil infused in it. This is also a very subtle champagne pink shade. These are good if you’re looking for a quick shine boost throughout the day.
Here is a swatch of the highlighter stick. The shade is called Maldives Luminescent. To apply this, draw on your cheekbones, bridge of nose, brow bones, inner and outer eyelid corners, and cupid’s bow. Or less if you like. All you do is pat with your fingers to blend out. Make sure you do this before your foundation!

I always say that most highlighters are wasted on me because I wear glasses so I have this to my mom because I know she’ll use it 😃

The last item is the Perfume of the Month. This month is Clean’s Reserve Sel Santal. I love how earthy and natural this smells. This brand uses cruelty-free ingredients and recyclable materials. This scent was inspired by woods, ocean air and fig leaves.
Here’s the inside of the sample. It has some quick blurbs about the scent profiles and a mission statement. The fragrance family is: Earthy and Woody. The Top Notes: Mandarin, Bergamot, and Nutmeg tonic. Middle Notes: Violet, Salted Fig, and Hazlenut Cream. Base Notes: Amber, Styrax, Rose Musk and Sandalwood.

I love this perfume sample. It made the entire box smell fantastic. I was overall pretty happy with the samples given! Xo

Nomakenolife April

Hey everybody! This April subscription box came yesterday but I had to go grab my daughter from school so I had to put it off until today! The box’s main focus was Skincare Essentials! I love skincare so I’m seriously hyped!

There are a bunch of things in these items that you may or may not know about. I’m going to give a definition what some of the ingredients are.

Hyaluronic Acid: This sugary molecule occurs naturally in the skin’s structure and connective tissue throughout the body. It helps lubricate joints and keeps things moisturized so they stay in shape and stay in the right place! What a natural helper! 🙂 This super helper is known for retaining moisture, it has almost 1000 times its weight in water. As the skin ages, it tends to sag so this is a huge helper in preventing this from happening!

Ceramide: These are lipid molecules that are found in skin membranes. In the top layer of skin, the ceramide holds the skin together forming a protective layer that plumps the skin and retains moisture. In skincare, these guys replenish natural lipids that get lost due to environmental factors, drying products and aging. These are used to help eczema.

AHA Fruit Acid: or alpha hydroxy acids are derived from natural fruit acids and are used as a great way to exfoliate skin. It helps break down dead skin cells, loosens dirt, makeup, and clogged pores. A lot of newer skin masks have this in them and you can also make your own face masks at home!

I also love mysteries so figuring out what each product does is fun! This box came with five full-size items 🙂 let me show you the box!

Here’s the box for this month! The green orb looking thing did have packaging but sadly it cracked in transit and I had to clean the outside. There was still product in it thankfully! I always loved how in Japan they show babies’ faces to describe skincare items 🙂

As usual, if you are curious about trying an item, I am going to link as many as I can for you to try them too!

The first item is the Shiseido Senka Perfect Whip & Face Wash. This is apparently a really popular face wash in Japan. It has two types of hyaluronic acids and naturally derived silk essence in it. I had to try this last night and it is pretty nice. It lathers well, and you only need a little bit for your face. It has a light fragrance to it. One of the things that I’m happy about is how my face doesn’t feel as oily as it usually is.

If you want to try this one, which I think you should, you can snag it here: Japan Health and Personal – Senka Perfect Whip 120g *AF27*

This is the DotFree Deep Clay. Look at all the babies all over this packaging! This clay mask has three different clays in it. There is also charcoal and aha fruit acid to remove dirt and impurities. There are also three different types of collagen to help moisturizing. To use it, clean your face and dry with a cloth or towel. Rub and massage the clay mask onto your skin. Wait three to five minutes and then rinse with warm water.

The DotFree Deep Clay can be purchased right here: DotFree Deep Peeling Clay – 130g (4.59 Oz) : Made in Japan ; with AHA and Ghassoul

Next we have the Derizum Moisture Veil Skin Cream! Whoo! This promises poreless baby-like skin containing 15 types of amino acids, eight types of ceramide, 3000mg of hyaluronic acid and DNA-NA. This protects your skin from natural irritants while helping it feel better. All you have to do to use it is rub a small amount of it on your skin after your face wash.
This is the Menturm Lip Dress Pearl Beige lip cream. It is formulated with shea butter and jojoba oil spill it keeps your lips smooth and hydrated. It also has 12 spf to protect your lips from the sun.

You can try this Lip Dress here: Omi Brotherhood Lip Dress Bright Red 3.5g

This unfortunately is how this looked when I received my package. It made me so sad.
I just wanted to dump a whole bunch of photos of this guy all over because it is adorable. 🙂
Here it is outside of the packaging! The top comes off and there’s a jelly inside. It is just simply called a Melon All-in-one Gel. It has anti-aging properties and works as a toner, moisturizer, essence, and makeup base. It has amino acids, minerals and vitamins derived from melons and has three types of collagen, hyaluronic acid and five different fruit extracts.

I’m so happy that this came and I get to experiment with a bunch of different items monthly. If you go to their site they’re offering a lifetime 10% off of each box per month!
