SauceBox Cosmetics Mermaid Life Eyeshadow Palette!

Hi friends! Today I’m going to show you this beauty of a palette. To be honest, I was sitting on purchasing this beauty for a while because it is normally $75. Seventy-five dollars. I had no idea how their shadows performed or if the price point was way too high (which is thought it was for nine eyeshadows). On Instagram, SauceBox Cosmetics had a bunch of damaged palettes and discounted them significantly. I purchased mine for $45 dollars (the price includes shipping and a 10% off discount code). I checked for damage and there wasn’t any to the actual palette. There was only a ding in the one eyeshadow. Basically, my face looked like this:

I’m going to show you all some pretty palette pictures and finger and brush swatches of all the shadows. Let’s begin!

Ta-da! This is the front of the Mermaid Life palette. I love the design of the mermaid and how the palette its self is shaped like a clam shell. Adorable. ❤❤❤ By the way, this palette is huge. You’ll see what I mean.

The back of palette mentions that all of these shadows are vegan and cruelty-free. All the shadow names are located in illustrated pearls and it was made entirely in the United States. Each eyeshadow is four grams so there is a total of 36 grams of shadows. This side has the ingredient list and distribution information.

Check out how big this palette is! There’s a decent sized mirror with a very subtle underwater design around the mirror that consists of coral, seaweed, and seahorses. The bottom of the palette has the clam shell design.

Here’s a close-up shot of the mirror for you to check out. Look at all the pretty design detail.

For this part of the palette, I wanted to show you all the shades included. I labeled them all with the appropriate name for you.

Another fun feature of the palette is that it is magnetic and each shade is labeled by the name and the lot number. This is important because duped palettes will not have that information on the bottom of the metal pans. The majority of the time the pans are glued in and not magnetized.

Next up, we have all the pretty swatches of all these shades. All of these shades swatched beautifully and I had no issue with dryness or crumbly eyeshadow.

The top row of shadows had three shimmery and colored shades. La Sirena is a frosted lilac shade that had the same intensity with the finger and brush swatches. Seaside is a pretty sea blue frosted shade that reminds me of the ocean with the sun shining off of it. This shade was more pigmented with the finger swatch than the brush swatch but not by much. Kelp It Real is a very pigmented frosted emerald green shade that has a gorgeous shimmer. This shade applies better with your finger.

The middle row of the palette featured four shades that varied in shimmers and intensity. Pirates Gold is one of the best gold shades that I’ve ever used and swatched before. The good news is that it swatched beautifully using both techniques. Treasure Chest is an awesome frosted copper-orange shade that is very pigmented and swatched beautifully using both techniques. Merman is a dark-beige shade with a subtle silver shimmer. Shell We Dance is supposed to mimic the inside of seashells and is a light-beige with a gold and silver shimmer.

The last row had two shades in it. Warm Sand is a light peach shade and it is the only matte shadow. I was impressed with how pigmented this shade was for a light matte shade. Moonshadows is a light beige that has a frosted silver look. This shade fully describes how pretty the moonlight looks.

Overall, I believe that this palette is one of my new favorites. However, I still believe that $75 is a bit expensive. For the price that I paid, this was a great price for a sturdy palette that excelled in design, layout, and pigmentation. Grab this while you can! Xo

My Pretty Zombie Lipsticks and an Eyeshadow! Swatches Here!

Hi readers! I got a package today! My Pretty Zombie recently had an awesome sale to celebrate their seventh year in business. They released a bunch of new products like lipsticks, hand sanitizer, eyeshadow, finishing powder, contour, highlight, and there is a fun set featuring the B-Horror movie, Dolly Deadly. They also ran a sale from July 1st to July 8th. The best thing is that they threw in a free eyeshadow, named 43.

I opened my bubble package to these two cute bags! I adored this skull bag so much I kept it as my new sample bag keeper lol.
I seriously have never been so excited to open these bags. It made me smile so big. The sample bag had so much nice stuff in it! Grape Pez (yass!), a sticker, a pin, makeup samples, a cat figurine, and the full-size eyeshadow, 43. If somehow the owner of this company is reading this, thank you ❤
Here is a photo of all the makeup including the samples I received today. There is a sample of Pickles’s Miraculous Beauty Dust in Gold Glow, Rabid Weasel eyeshadow and Reclusa, a pretty orange blush. The full-size items are Exsanguinate and Rabid Weasel lipsticks and 43 and Revenge is Sweet eyeshadows. I have done swatches and reviews on the full-size items.
Here are the back labels of the two lipsticks and eyeshadows. Both of the eyeshadows are vegan yet only one is lip safe. The distribution information and website are on the bottom and the weight is 1.5 grams. The lipsticks are both cruelty-free and they are not vegan.
Here is a close-up of the eyeshadows 43 and Revenge is Sweet. Check out how pretty these look! Revenge is Sweet is a pretty magenta shade with purple sparkle. 43 is this beautiful teal shade with a slight shimmer.
Here is a close-up of the lipsticks. Exsanguinate is a bright and bold red with a pretty shimmer to it. Rabid Weasel is a blueish gray.

Here come the swatches! I have done arm swatches of all the full-size products and labeled them like I usually do with finger swatches and brush swatches.

Here are the arm swatches of all the products. 43 is this beautiful teal frosted shade. When used with a brush, it is more bold but I love how subtle it looks when brushed with my finger. I’m in love with this. Revenge is Sweet is a magenta reddish shade with purple sparkles that offer a gorgeous shimmer. Rabid Weasel is a transparent gray that makes a nice subtle color. Exsanguinate is a gorgeous red with subtle gold sparkle in it. All four of these shades are pigmented and very easy to work with.

Next are the lip swatches of Rabid Weasel and Exsanguinate. I also used Revenge is Sweet on my eyes today. Check these out below!

I loved this shade so much. Rabid Weasel is this beautiful transparent gray. It gives off such nice dead girl vibes. This shade is scented like lemon and lime. Revenge is Sweet compliments this lip shade as a pop of color.
Exsanguinate really makes a statement with how pretty and bold it is. It smells like strawberry lemonade and really makes beautiful warmth on your face.

That’s all for my review on these new products! If you haven’t checked them out, please do! The lipsticks were $6 each and the eyeshadow was $5! Give them a try! Xo

Black Moon Cosmetics Luna Moon Topper Swatch!

Hi friends! Today in the mail Luna arrived! I was waiting for this to come so I have something exciting and fresh to review! This subtle yet fantastic top coat is vegan and cruelty-free! I believe it was on their website for $19 and I think with shipping this came out to about $25.

Here’s the pretty packaging that the Moon Topper came in. I love how the stars are holographic and the pretty moon graphic on the box. I apologize about the box being open, I was excited and it accidentally ripped.
This is the side of the box that shows all the ingredients. Note the cruelty-free bunny and how it says vegan underneath! Yes! This side also shows the distribution information and the company website. The product is also 0.25 ounces.
This side of the box tells the consumer that this holographic topper can be used on lips, face and body. It also is intended for long wear and dries down. It dries in about two minutes.
This is Luna all natural. I like taking the natural light photos just so you all get the real deal and expectations aren’t all messed up. As you can see, it looks pretty white in the tube.
Here is what the flash does to Luna. You can see in the tube that there is a pink shimmer and a bit of other colors in there.
This is the bottom of the tube. It has the name of the product and the company. It was made in the United States.
Here is what the applicator looks like. It is a flat and rounded applicator that picks up a decent amount of product. This was also the first time I opened this and it smells like candied fruit. Please note how it is shimmery and pink at this angle.
Black Moon Cosmetics suggested topping Sleepwalker with this shade. I totally took that idea into consideration and did that for all of you!

Okay the best part of the review is up! The swatches! I have included an arm swatch and two lip swatches of the product for you! Enjoy!

This is what Luna looked like under the flash when I swatched it. It is quite the sleeper.
Here is what Luna looks like when you wear it as a simple gloss and sparkle. It has a pretty elegance to it but still doesn’t show up much.
… and BAM! This is what both Luna and Sleepwalker look like together. You can see all the pink, purple and blue sparkles and gives the black lipstick a pretty tint.

I think overall that this Moon Topper is pretty. I like how versatile it is with being dramatic and subtle. Xo

Jeffree Star Cosmetics 2016 Summer Collection Swatch!

Hi everybody! Happy Friday! I stepped out my door and it was disgustingly hot outside so I decided to swatch Jeffree Star’s summer collection from last year. The entire collection was five shades and cost $75. I was really excited when this came out but was slightly disappointed in the pigmentation and texture. I loved the colors and names but they were really streaky. All the shades were scented with the exclusion of (714) which was brought back as a previous limited edition shade. Unfortunately,  I threw away the boxes that these came in so I can’t show photos of those. Sorry 😓😓😓

Here are the shades from the 2016 collection. They had a pretty bright yellow and hot pink theme going on. There was also a great variety of shades included.
Here are the bottoms of the tubes. They have the shade name, company information and ounces. Each tube has 0.19 ounces of product.
Here is a quick shot of the applicator. This is the usual Jeffree doe foot he uses for his lip products. They have flexibility to them but nothing crazy. The applicators pick up a decent amount of product.

I have swatches for you of this collection! Yay! I have arm swatches and then a collage of all the lip shades on. Doing multiple lip swatches really kill my lips. They’re sore haha. 💋

Here are the arm swatches for you all. The first shade is Nude Beach. This reminds me of a beige peach shade. The next shade is (714) and is a light coral pink shade. Virginity is next and is a beautiful Lilac shade. Queen Bee was the most unique shade in the set being bright yellow. Watermelon Soda is my favorite and applied the best and has the best coverage. I would say this is a bold dark pink shade.
Here are the lip swatches. The first row is Nude Beach and (714). The bigger picture on the bottom is Virginity and then the top is Queen Bee and Watermelon Soda. I would have to say that Queen Bee was the most difficult shade to work wirh because it was so streaky and a thick formula. (714) needed about three coats to make it stand out because it was very thin and streaky.

These were the colors for last year’s summer collection. I would say if you collect makeup, buy it but honestly, you’re not really missing much because of the inconsistent texture and pigmentation.

Too Faced La Crème Unicorn Tears Review!

Hi friends! This product has been out for a while and it has also had it’s share of being sold out off and on. I’m not a huge fan of Too Faced but I really wanted to see what the hype about Unicorn Tears was about. This lipstick color shifts which Is pretty cool and I would have to say it reminds me of LunatiCK Cosmetic Labs and their Lacrimosa shade. The last time I went to Ulta, Unicorn Tears was in stock and cost $22.

Here is the packaging for Unicorn Tears. I do enjoy the design and how feminine it is. This product is 0.11 ounces.
On this side of the box we have the ingredient list. It has jojoba oil in it 🙂
This side of the box has the website information and states that this product has lip conditioners in it.
The bottom of the box is where you find the serial code (7D1) and the barcode. I’m not sure if this product is duplicated or not but I would rather be safe.
This is the lipstick tube that the La Crème line comes in. These are made of metal and feel very durable.
This is what the bottom of the tube looks like. It has the shade name and distribution information.
Here is what the lipstick looks like in the tube. It is a frosted blue that has sparkle in it. I tried to capture the sparkle in the picture.

I have an arm and lip swatch for you all to enjoy so you can further see the color shifting in the lipstick.

I took this arm swatch using the flash to further bring out the blue sparkles. As you can see, it applies pink and has a blue shift and sparkle.
Here’s what Unicorn Tears looks like applied to the lips. It has a faint orange cream scent and is a lot more blue than it was on the arm swatch. I do like this as being a unique sheer shade.

There you guys have it! Like I said before, I’m not a huge Too Faced fan but I did enjoy this product. Xo

Jeffree Star You.Better.Work. Liquid Lipstick Collection 2017

Hi friends and all new subscribers! Today I waited anxiously by the door for the Jeffree Star Summer 2017 collection. I bought this set from Beautylish because of the issues I had trying to buy the Jeffree and Manny collab off of his site. This collection was $105 and qualified for free two-day shipping. I ordered it at 1:00 PM EST and they shipped it out by 5:30 PM the same day. Beautylish has great shipping and their customer service is so good. I didn’t grab the complete vault because $195 is a lot of money and I’m not a fan of regular lipsticks so I wasn’t going to be using a lot of the products in the vault.

Let me start by saying that this year’s formula is definitely improved from last year’s 2016 set. I enjoyed the colors from last year but the formula made me so freaking sad. This year the metallic shades, Flamboyant and Candyass, are the only two that are scented. They smell like strawberries and, I wanted to drink them.

Here is what it looked like in the packaging. Beautylish has the tissue paper that has all of Jeffree’s tattoos all over it.
Here is the box that it comes in. It is a pretty frosted pink box that is a decent size. It magnetizes shut which is nice.
When you open the box all the liquid lipsticks are in their own individual packaging.
When you take them out of their boxes please take note that these do not fit in very snug. Don’t go shaking the box around if you plan to store them like this. 😂😂
Here they are out of the box and looking pretty. They have chrome toppers and the dark pink logo font.
Here is the bottom of the lipsticks. I only used one since they all have the same set up. It has the shade name, brand name and how many fluid ounces it is. Keep note of the bottoms just in case you buy from another place and aren’t sure if yours is a fake or not.
This is what the applicator looks like. It is a slanted doe foot with a bit of flex to it. It picks up a decent amount of product and applies it smoothly. I apologize for my nails. Camping does that to a lady. Haha.

Before we talk swatches I wanted to show you box shots before all of that just in case all these sell out and you have to buy from a third party retailer. I used shade ‘Butt Naked’ as my reference.

Here is the front of the box. You can see the chrome quality the box has along with the pink logo.
This side of the box describes the product as vegan, cruelty-free, matte, long lasting and extreme beauty. It has instructions to follow and the company distribution information.
This side of the box has Jeffree’s website, YouTube and Instagram. It also has the cruelty-free bunny logo.
This side has the name of the shade, a reminder to shake the lipstick and the ingredient list. There is also a UPC.
This picture is very important. The bottom of the box has the batch codes for authenticity. For Butt Naked and You. Better. Work., the serial code is 7D1, Calabasas is 7E2, Venus Flytrap, Family Jewels and Hunty, is 7D2 and the metallics, Candyass and Flamboyant do not have serial codes.

For the swatches, I included an arm swatch of all the shades and one of those fancy lip swatch collages! Here we go!

These were taken in the sunlight through my window. They are not enhanced in any way. Okay, the lightest shade is Butt Naked. This is a matte light peachy beige nude shade. It actually compliments my skin tone so I was very with it. Calabasas got it’s name from where Jeffree lives in California. This is a matte dark plum shade that reminds me of a lighter Androgyny. Venus Flytrap is an electric greenish yellow matte. I adore how unique this shade is. It looks great on! It does take more than one coat to be really bold but it is so worth it. Family Jewels is next. This shade is a brownish plum shade. If Dominatrix and Androgyny had a baby, it would be Family Jewels. Hunty is of course, great. This dark nude compliments my olive skin tone without skipping on coverage and pigment. You. Better. Work. was the shade that had me the most excited for this launch. I adore all shades of purple in lipstick and this bright purple was a necessary purchase for my everyday looks. Flamboyant is a bright red with red and silver metallic qualities in it. Candyass is a light coral pink with gold and silver sparkles in it. Both of these metallics go on smooth and light and smell wonderful.
Here are the lip swatches of all the shades. The top row is Butt Naked and Hunty. Row two is Calabasas and You. Better. Work. Row three is Venus Flytrap and Candyass. The last row is Family Jewels and Flamboyant.

I hope you enjoyed this really long review and reveal of the products. Hopefully this was useful if you were still wondering what to purchase. Xo

Apocalyptic Beauty Blogger Package!

Hi loves! I just got home from vacation and I finally updated by blog! I’ve been creeping on Etsy recently for eyeshadows and fun beauty products that are affordable and also deserve recognition for awesome homemade products. My creeping led me to Apocalyptic Beauty’s store and she offered a Blogger package that I ordered that came with six sample bags and one full-size eyeshadow of your choice!

Aren’t the shades beautiful?! I was so excited when this package arrived! Yay!

Here store has a lot of affordable and pigmented beauty products. She also offers blushes, highlighters and perfumes. I will be a repeat customer after this. One thing I also liked is how each product is named after fun pop culture and horror references. It makes it more fun for me 🙂

I chose Horrorshow as my full-size product. This is close-up shot of the product in the pan. It is a light pumpkin orange with gold amd silver sparkles in it.

I have included swatches of each shade and they are labeled by name, finger swatch and brush swatch. Enjoy!

The first set of swatches are these three. Horrorshow is a light orange-peach with gold and silver sparkles. It swatched nicely on both tests and has a lot of pigment. The next shade is They’re Coming to Get You, Barbara. This shade is a violet that has an emerald green shift that when swatched, has dark red pigments. It reminds me of My Pretty Zombie’s Everything Looks Better on a Meat Hook. The third shade is Vogon Poetry. I love this shade so much. This is a nicely pigmented and swatchable bright green that has a lot of shimmer and almost a yellow tint to it. I’m so impressed!
This last row has four shades in it. The first shade is Polly Plague. This a bright violet shade that has a subtle sparkle to it. The Amber of the Moment is the next shade. This shade is a very light beige that has a lot of gold shimmer to it. It would make a lovely lid shade or an inner corner shade. Thoroughly Spoiled is a dark purple mixed with a light gray shimmer. This shade has so many fun color shifting properties, I could cry. The last shade, Planet Queen is a teal matte shade that has teal sparkles for an extra kick. Love.

To be honest, I was not disappointed with anything in this blogger package. Please PLEASE support this wonderful etsy user! Xo
